If you have a suitable device but haven’t yet updated Windows 11, you can now check for updates in the Settings app and receive a new notification to download the update. That’s because Windows 11 is now available for all devices that qualify.
Microsoft has been striving to address important and bothersome issues surrounding the operating system, as evidenced by the changelogs of the monthly cumulative updates.
Windows 11 was first launched in June 2021 and began trickling out to more customers a few months later, therefore it took Microsoft seven months to approve version 21H2.
Windows 11 has been made available for all eligible devices ahead of the release of the next feature upgrade, thanks to bug fixes distributed via cumulative updates.
However, if your device does not meet the 8th generation or newer processor and TPM requirements, you will be unable to install Windows 11 unless you circumvent the requirements.
Windows 11’s unresolved issues
Microsoft is aware of a few known vulnerabilities with the operating system, including a bug that causes authentication failures on the server for users. Although a remedy for this bug is currently in the works, some users have been experiencing app crashes as a result of the May 2022 update.
Microsoft has noticed reports of program crashes in Windows 11 and is working on a fix, which might be released later this month or next month as an optional upgrade.
