About The Training
The COMPUTER GRAPHICS TRAINING is a program designed for individuals who are interested in applying their creativity to communicating ideas and concepts in both print and web. Students are prepared for graphic design careers, through strong, practical and theoretical training in typography, the basic fundamentals of creativity, design, image, form and colour. The program includes extensive hands-on training in industry-standard software tools, which allow students to present their design solutions in a variety of formats. Each student will be expected to create an online/offline portfolio to complete a creative design project using softwares learnt during the training.

What Will Be Learnt
The training is based on four (4) basic top industry standard softwares: CORELDRAW, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR and ADOBE INDESIGN.
The training is targeted at beginners and indviduals who wish to learn the following:

Photoshop
Photoshop is a graphics designing application software used by photographers, graphic designers, video game artists, advertising and meme designers. It is used to edit photos, create art, retouch product photos, images from raster to vector, photo manipulation etc. One of the biggest advantages of learning photoshop is the fact that a person can easily make small edits on photos, change skin tone, create a high resolution copy of the photo, adjusting brightness or removing blur area in just a few clicks. It is possible to clear up all the blemishes and imperfections in any photos. Prospective Students will gain all the required basic skills to achieve all these.
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe illustrator software is the industry's premier vector-drawing environment for creating scalable graphics. Instead of using bitmap images to store data, this program uses algorithms to draw shapes. That is why the vector graphics created within illustrator can be scaled to any size without losing their quality or overall resolution. Adobe Illustrator can be used to create business logos to detailed illustrations for animated concepts. It can print layouts, create stunning website graphics, and give users complete control to customize graphics with typography. Students will have the advantage to develop additional skills with this software.
Adobe Indesign
Adobe InDesign sets the industry standard for print and digital layout offering pixel-perfect control over design or digital media. It is a desktop publishing software application that is excellent for creating multiple pages layout, posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers and more. Learning how to use InDesign helps students integrate files from other Adobe applications such as photoshop and illustrator seamlessly into the InDesign workspace.
Corel Draw
Aspiring Illustrators and graphic designers can do a lot of creativity with CorelDraw. This graphic design solution has a suite of features that produce stunning graphics. It has a powerful text capability and built in raster image tools. Prospective students will learn skills on how to design icons, logos to print ready single/multi-page booklets, newsletters, Business Cards, Letterheads, create web graphics and also create/arrange designs layouts for pre-press in 4 colours (CMYK) or Spot Colour. Students will also learn how to combine illustrator file formats and images in CorelDraw and more..
Design Lab
The Design Lab is a challenge among participant of this training. During the competition, participants tackle the challenge of creating original and innovative creative related to a client brief supplied by the instructor.

Lead Instructor
An experienced creative designer, who has successfully developed visual solutions working for E-commerce / IT company, Commercial printing company, Signage & Advertising Brands as well as various Private Clients, Print Media, Social Media and Websites. He has over nine(9) years work experience and holds a University degree in Mass communication and National diploma in Graphic Design, Arts and Printing Technology.
Instructor
Benedict is currently the Training Director/Web Developer at Alabian Solutions Limited he is a Web Developer with creative mindset, he is down to earth in teaching and believes in offering an interactive learning experience using real life scenario to make class more interesting.

Skill Requirement
No previous design skill is required for this training but all student are expected to have good computer usage skill. -
Hardware Requirement
All students are expected to come for the training with a laptop, a mouse, a drawing book and pencil -
Software Requirement
All students are expected to have CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign installed on their system. For students without these software we will be installing trial version for them
