GPT-4, the ChatGPT Successor, Has Heen Announced by OpenAI

GPT-4, the latest version of OpenAI’s hugely popular artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, has been released. The new model can respond to images, for example, by providing recipe suggestions based on photos of ingredients, as well as writing captions and descriptions.

Eight times as many words as ChatGPT can be processed by it, up to 25,000, Since ChatGPT’s debut in November 2022, millions of individuals have utilized it.

Writing songs, poems, marketing copy, computer code, and assisting with homework are among the common requests for it, despite teachers’ advice that students shouldn’t use it.

ChatGPT uses the internet as it was in 2021 as its knowledge base and responds to queries in language that is as natural and human-like as possible. It may also imitate different writing styles, such as those of authors and songwriters.

There are worries that this technology might one day replace a lot of the tasks currently performed by human beings.

OpenAI stated that it spent six months developing safety features for GPT-4 and training it using human feedback. However, it warned that it could still spread misinformation.

GPT-4 will first be available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, who pay $20 per month for premium service access.

It already serves as the foundation for Microsoft’s Bing search engine platform. The tech behemoth has invested $10 billion into OpenAI.

It generated an answer to a complex tax query in a live demo, but there was no way to verify it. According to OpenAI, GPT-4 has “more sophisticated reasoning abilities” than ChatGPT. For instance, the model can locate open meeting times for three schedules.

In order to develop AI Chatbots that can help its customers using natural language, OpenAI also announced new collaborations with the visually challenged app Be My Eyes and the language learning tool Duolingo.

Yet just like its predecessors, OpenAI has cautioned that GPT-4 is still not entirely trustworthy and may “hallucinate”—a condition in which AI fabricates information or uses erroneous reasoning.

To Conclude

GPT-4 is a form of generative artificial intelligence, much like ChatGPT. Predictive text and algorithms are used by generative AI to produce fresh content in response to commands.
